Pamela Marie (Wilson) Johnson, 56 of Aitkin died Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in Aitkin. She was born May 7, 1967 in Fridley, the daughter of Dennis and Rosemary (Nyberg) Wilson. She grew up and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1985. She earned her A.A. Degree in Child Development and her B.A. Degree in Recreation. Pamela was united in marriage to Andrew S. Johnson September 1, 2012 in Cambridge. She was a dedicated Life Skills Trainer for Oak Ridge Homes for 22 years. She devoted her life to helping those with special needs as a Camp Counselor, Special Olympics coach and a Life Skills coach. She was an active member of the Aitkin United Methodist Church, a Deaconess in the Methodist Church, a Youth Director and a Lay Speaker for several churches. She was preceded in death by her father Dennis, sister Dawn and her grandparents.
Pamela is survived by her husband Andy Johnson; Mother Rosemary Wilson; Stepsons: Andrew “AJ” (Ashley) Johnson and Karl Johnson; Brother and sister-in-law: Garth (Adriana) Wilson; Nieces: Theresa (Joe) Wallin and Dawn Wilson; Great-nephew Harrison Wallin; Many aunts, uncles, cousins, other special relatives, friends and clients who’s lives touched Pamela.
Memorial service will be 11:00am – Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the United Methodist Church in Aitkin. Pastor Dawn Houser will officiate. Visitation will be 5 to 7pm – Friday, April 5 at the church and will continue 1 hour prior to the service Saturday. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to the Special Olympics
