Roger Dreher, of Aitkin, beloved by many, passed away on March 15, 2024 at the age of 70. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering support for those around him.

Roger's love for the outdoors was evident in every aspect of his life. Whether it was hiking through the wilderness, fishing in the serene waters, or simply basking in the beauty of nature, he found solace and joy in the great outdoors. His adventurous spirit led him to spend cherished moments on Kodiak Island, where he found peace in the rugged landscapes and the embrace of nature's wonders.

As an animal lover, Roger's heart overflowed with affection for his pets. His furry companions were more than just animals; they were cherished members of his family, bringing him boundless joy and companionship throughout his life.

Roger's innate desire to lend a helping hand extended far beyond his love for nature and animals. He was a pillar of strength for his family and friends, always ready to offer his support and guidance in their times of need. His selflessness and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Additionally, Roger played an integral role in his family's business, the Palisade Cafe. His tireless efforts alongside his parents ensured that the establishment was not just a place to dine but a hub of warmth, community, and cherished memories for all who frequented it.

Throughout his life, Roger was surrounded by a loving community of family and friends who cherished him deeply. His presence illuminated the lives of those around him, and his memory will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Roger Dreher's passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, but his spirit will live on in the memories and lives he touched along his journey. He is preceded in death by his mother Eloise J. Dreher, stepfather Wayne R. Dreher, and father Charles B. Rasmussen.

He is survived by his siblings: Cathie Rasmussen, Linda (Paul) Marso, Jeff (Donna) Dreher, Sue (Tom) Bingham, Kevin Dreher, Lisa (Steve) Moosbrugger, Joyce Block, Todd Dreher, and many nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of Roger’s Life will be held Thursday, March 28 at 11 AM in Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home, Aitkin with Pastor Lorelie Robinson officiating.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
