Alfred E. Kingsley, 89 of Palisade died Friday, July 5, 2019 at his residence. He was born June 5, 1930 in Bain Township, Aitkin County, Minnesota to Edgar L. and Georgiana Pearl Eria (Knapp) Kingsley. He was a member of the Army National Guard and was called to active duty, serving in the Korean War. Alfred was united in marriage to Thelma M. Landrus on February 28, 1953 in Aitkin. He worked many jobs including: farming, logging, construction, Woodland Container, at the local filling station, Northtown Chrysler-Dodge, and for various water and sewer construction companies in the Twin Cities area. Alfred was an avid hunter and enjoyed snowmobiling, riding ATV Side BY Side, and reading Western books. He was a longtime member of the Operating Engineer Union Local #49 and the Labor Union Local #563, the NRA, and Hill Top Chapel. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Kevin, 4 brothers, and 4 sisters.

16 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00A.M. – Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Journey North Church in Aitkin. Reverend Barry Hite and Reverend Charles Carlson will officiate. Visitation will be 5 to 7P.M. Friday at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin and will continue 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Waukenabo Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by Aitkin American Legion Lee Post #86 and Aitkin VFW Roberts-Glad Post #1727.
