Eleanor Mae (Ekman) Rosier

Eleanor M Rosier passed away in Aitkin, MN on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Aitkin Health Services in Aitkin, Mn. Ellie was born to Eero and Sylvia (Carlson) Ekman on Aug 31, 1941 in McGregor, MN. She graduated from McGregor High School in 1960. Ellie was united in marriage to Gregory A. Rosier on Aug 13, 1965 in St Paul. They lived and raised their family in the Minneapolis area. They moved to Lawler, MN in 2002 after she retired from American Family Insurance as an Underwriting Assistant. She enjoyed travelling, photography, shopping, going to the movie theater, visiting with family and friends, volunteering, and her children. Ellie’s Christmas Card list was usually long and her cards were always delivered before Christmas. She also made sure that relatives and close friends received a card on their birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, weddings, and special holidays.

Ellie was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Cynthia. She is survived by her husband Greg, son Jeffrey John Paul Rosier (Marty) of Hayward, CA, daughter Jennifer Elizabeth Prueser (Brent) of Brainerd, MN, cousins Daniel Ritchie, Gary Hill, and Marsha Hill of St Paul, grandson Branden Boyer (Linda) of Reno, NV, granddaughter Amanda Wurscher of Visalia, CA, five great grandchildren, and her large extended family of in-laws, their offspring and close friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 11 AM from the McGregor Funeral Home in McGregor followed by interment services at the Salo Cemetery. Lunch will be provided at Jackson Hole in Lawler following the interment services at the Salo Cemetery..

A donation to the ALS society, Friends of the McGregor Wildlife Refuge group, or the Tamarack Lutheran Church would be preferred over flowers. Arrangements are with the McGregor Funeral Home. www.srtfuneral.com
