Jacqueline Park Obituary

Jacqueline Park, 76, of Aitkin, wife, mother and grandmother to be, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 at her home on Sugar Lake. Jacque fought hard for many pain filled months, trying to beat lung cancer that spread to her spine. She is now in a better place and in better hands.

Jacque was born on February 19, 1943 in Austin to Kenneth and Arlene (Rost) Churchill.  She grew up in Spring Valley and graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1961. She attended the University of MN and received her BA Degree in Education in 1965.

Jacque was united in marriage to her life partner, Jack Park on September 12, 1964 in Spring Valley and in 1973 they were blessed with a baby, Travis.

Jacque taught Kindergarten in the Roseville School District before a long successful and rewarding teaching career at Mounds Park Academy in St Paul. Her guiding influence on hundreds of 5 and 6 year old children was a highlight of her life and also the lives of her now grown students.

After retirement Jacque and her husband Jack moved to their lake home in Northern Minnesota for the summers and then spent the winter months at their home in Chandler AZ.

Jacque enjoyed the outdoors and to go to her summer and winter homes to play golf and plant beautiful flowers. She was an avid sports fan and followed many sporting events, especially the Masters and U S Open golf tournaments.

Jacque loved her German Shorthair Pointer dogs, Annie and Gretta, they gave her so much joy.

Jacque is survived by her husband Jack, of Aitkin, MN.

Son: Travis and daughter in law Lizeth of  Winter Garden, FL.

Sister: Susan Churchill of Casa Grande, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Craig Churchill.

A private family celebration of life will be held at her home on Sugar Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or Dog - Animal Shelters.
