Jennifer Lynn (Thomson) Pierce

Jennifer L. Pierce age 61 of McGregor formerly of St. Paul died Sunday, September 15, 2019 at McGregor, Mn.

Jennifer was born October 25, 1957 in St. Paul, Mn. the daughter of Douglas and Mary (Nelson) Thomson. She grew up and attended schools in St. Paul graduating from Central High School in 1975. She then attended McCallister College and the University of Minnesota. She worked as a legal assistant for many years. She married Scott A. Pierce on August 25, 1983 in St. Paul. They lived in St. Paul where they raised their family until moving to McGregor in 2000. Jennifer then went to work at the Riverwood Health Care Center for  many years. She loved doing crafts, sewing, crocheting and making quilts of which she had made many of. She was also a very talented artist and was a very giving person. Jennifer loved watching the Minnesota Twins and was also a big fan of all of Minnesota pro sports teams.

She is survived by her husband Scott Pierce of McGregor, Children: Melissa (Aaron) Maki of Carlton, Mn., William (Kristin) Pierce of St. Paul, Nicole (Travis) Zenda of Chisago City, Mn.; 6 Grandchildren: Alana Maki, Jason Maki, Grace Pierce, Harper Pierce, Henry Pierce, Mila Zenda; Brothers: William (Marty) Thomson of South St. Paul, Mn., James Thomson of St. Paul, Douglas (Pamela) Thomson of Wyoming, Mn. and 4 nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 10:30 AM from Holy Family Catholic Church in McGregor with Fr. David Forsman officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the 10:30 AM services at the church. Interment will be in the Pierce Cemetery at Oak Grove, Mn.
