Joyce Arlene Dahle, 90 of Aitkin and formerly of Anoka and Fridley died Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin. She was born January 1, 1929 in Renville County, North Dakota to Albert E. and Julia C. (Blegen) Hanson. She grew up in Aitkin County and attended grade school in Thor and graduated from Aitkin High School with the class of 1947. Joyce was united in marriage to Rolf M. Dahle on June 5, 1954 in Aberdeen, Maryland. Joyce worked clerical jobs at Northwestern Bank and at the University of Minnesota Library. She was a homemaker and enjoyed flower gardening, nature hikes, and weaving on her loom.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Rolf; parents: Albert and Julia; siblings: Elaine C. Olson, Lloyd R. Hanson, Chester A. Hanson, and Lois E. Johnson.
Joyce is survived by her brother and sister-in-law: Bernard (Joan) Hanson;
Sister and brother-in-law: Marjorie (Don) Brugman;
And also by her much loved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is tentatively planned for the spring or summer of 2019 in Aitkin County. Burial will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Aitkin. www.srtfuneral.com
