Linda Diane Ukura

Linda D. Ukura, age 66 of Tamarack died Monday, April 15, 2019 at the Mayo Clinic Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born June 17, 1952 at Crosby, Minnesota. She grew up and attended schools in Tamarack and McGregor graduating from the McGregor High School in 1970. She raised her family in McGregor. She and Craig have enjoyed the lakes and life together for the past 28 years. She always made people feel welcomed and at home and strangers became friends quickly. She loved to decorate her home for ALL of the holidays. She enjoyed traveling with Craig when he was working, her flower gardens and playing solitaire.

Linda is survived by her children: Andrea (Kory) Marsyla of McGregor, Bret Ukura of McGregor, Significant Other: Craig Joriman of Big Sandy Lake; Craig’s Children: Tammy (Steve) Berg of Royalton, Mn., Jacob (Sarah) Joriman of Michigan, Tessa (Pete) Nickila of Duluth, Mn.; Grandchildren: Ashley (Matt) Carlstrom, Zerek (Hope) Marsyla, Kylee Berg, Carter Berg, Richard Joriman, Alice Joriman; Great Grandchildren: Klayton Carlstrom, Kerrigan Carlstrom, Ezekiel Marsyla; Sister: Sharon Hutar of Tamarack; Brothers: Robert (Beth) Johnson of Tamarack, Kevin (Sharon) Johnson of Tamarack and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Astrid Johnson and 1 brother Greg Johnson.

A memorial service and Celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019 starting at 11 AM at the Tamarack Presbyterian Church with Rev. Rick Mann officiating and continue at the McGregor VFW following the service for refreshments and fellowship. A visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery near Tamarack at a later date. The McGregor Funeral Home and Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements. www.srtfuneral.com
