Luella Rose (Lindenfelser) Ford

Luella Rose Ford, age 89 of Aitkin died Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin.

Luella was born October 10, 1929 at Otsego, Minnesota the daughter of Matthew and Anna Greeninger) Lindenfelser. She grew up and attended schools in Otsego. She married Shirley Aydt in Rogers and they made their home in Rogers for a time. She married Raymond Ford on June 2, 1961 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and they made their home in St. Louis Park, Mn. for over 30 years. Ray died in 1996. Luella moved to Aitkin in the fall of 2013 and resided at Blackrock Terrace until she moved to the Aicota Health Care Center 1 year ago. She enjoyed gardening, Bingo, Crafting, feeding the birds and any kind of fishing. She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters: Nancy Aydt of Aitkin, Mn., Carol (Ron) Hoffman of Aitkin, Sonia (Brian) Leonard of Maple Grove, Mn.; Eight Grandchildren: Joe, Sara, Jeffrey, Ryan, Ronnie, Daniel, Peter, Matthew; 8 Great Grandchildren: Kalynn, Danica, Elly, Kinsley, Jenna, Preston, Jayce and Madison. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond in 1996, two sisters: Armella and Marion and two brothers: Harry and Kenny.

A memorial service will be held Monday, June 17, 2019 at 11 AM from the Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Rev. Doug Larson officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date in the Word of Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery in Rogers, Mn. Arrangements are with the Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Aitkin.
