Mark Ukura passed away unexpectedly on August 13, 2019. He was born on May 5, 1951 in Moose Lake, MN. He attended Lake County schools in Two Harbors, MN until 1962 when he moved with his parents to McGregor, MN. He graduated from MHS in 1969. He worked many hours and always felt blessed living, working and owning a business in a community he loved. When he wasn’t working, he liked spending time with his grandchildren, listening to am talk radio and watching old movies, especially those many would not remember. He was kind, generous and understanding. He had faith that every person was good and had the potential to succeed. He encouraged all to follow their dreams. He will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor, loyalty and his heart of gold.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Kenneth and Catherine, and his sister Mary White.
Mark is survived by his children: Andrea (Kory) Marsyla and Bret Ukura; 2 grandchildren: Ashley (Matt) Carlstrom and Zerek (Hope) Marsyla; 3 great-grandchildren: Klayton and Kerrigan Carlstrom
and Ezekiel Marsyla.
He will be deeply missed but never forgotten by his surviving family who loved him more than he could ever realize. Life is precious. Life is busy. Make time to spend it with those who matter. Be kind. Have faith. Carry on.
