Marlys Jane Guthmiller

Marlys “Molly” Jane Guthmiller, age 64 of McGregor died Saturday, May 18, 2019 at her home in McGregor.

Molly was born June 28, 1954 in Andover, Minnesota the daughter of Cecil and Marian (Clinton) Heidelberger. She grew up in Andover and attended the Anoka Schools graduating from the Anoka High School in 1972. She then attended college for a time studying journalism. She married Wayne Chapman on April 7, 1973 and they made their home in Andover. She then moved to Circle Pines and worked for Sears for a number of years. In 1988 she met Rodney Guthmiller at Mom’s Auto Salvage in Andover. They married on July 4, 1996 at the Beaver Church in Beaver Township of Aitkin County. They moved to McGregor in 1997 permanently and she started and operated Molly’s Antiques for the past 20 years. She loved operating her Antique Store, her grandchildren and especially all of the people of McGregor.

She is survived by her children: Chad (Alicia) Chapman of Ramsey, Mn., Paul (Jennifer) Chapman of Zimmerman, Mn., Stephanie (Nathan) Fredrickson of Aitkin, Bob Guthmiller of Isanti, Mn.; Grandchildren: Allison, Aaron, Charlie, Ryley, Alaina, Mikayla, Darren, R.J., Brinlee and great grandchild: Addelyn. She was one of 11 children. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Rodney in 2018 and 1 brother.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 1 PM from the McGregor Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Seibel officiating. Visitation will be from Noon until the 1 PM service time. Burial will be at a later date in the Constance Evangelical Free Cemetery at Andover, Mn. Arrangements are with the McGregor Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
