Marvel Janet Hartzberg, 94 of Brooklyn Center and McGregor died March 1, 2019 at Maranatha Commons in Brooklyn Center.  She was born to Paul and Margaret (Rasmussen) Knutson May 19, 1924 in New Brighton at the home of her grandparents.  She grew up in McGregor during a time when her telephone number was three shorts and one long.  She worked at Northern States Power Company in the Minneapolis area.  She was a U.S. Navy WAVE Veteran.  Marvel was united in marriage to Raymond D. Hartzberg on June 7, 1947, raising five sons.  She had a great love for her family and enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and crafts.  She always showed her love for the Lord by being the hands and feet of Christ while she was on this earth.  Many people have been blessed by Marvel’s kindness, strengthened by her wisdom, and touched by her beautiful ability to comfort through the years.  She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond,  parents Paul and Margaret (Rasmussen) Knutson,

and  sister Pauline Blakeboro.  

Marvel will be sadly missed by her five sons: Donald Hartzberg of Lakeville, David Hartzberg of Spicewood, TX., Wallace Hartzberg of Apple Valley, Ronald Hartzberg of Brooklyn Park, and John Hartzberg of Gilbert;

Grandchildren: Kari Boyd (Brian), Justin Hartzberg, and Brandon Hartzberg;

Great-grandchildren: Casandra Boyd and Gavin Boyd;

Sister: Dolores Lindahl

Marvel leaves behind a long list of loving relatives and special friends.

 

Memorial service will be 1:00P.M. - Sunday, May 19, 2019  at Round Lake Presbyterian Church, McGregor.  Pastor Larry Kasten will officiate.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in Round Lake Cemetery.  Arrangements are with McGregor Funeral Home &Cremation Services in McGregor.  www.srtfuneral.com

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to the Round Lake Presbyterian Church, McGregor.
