Richard Lee Farah

Richard Lee Farah, age 80 of McGregor died Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Castle Ridge Care Center in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

Richard was born March 19, 1039 in Aitkin, Minnesota the son of George and Clara (Villeniuve) Farah. He grew up and attended schools in McGregor. He married Elaine I. Hutar on May 9, 1959 in McGregor. They made their home in North Minneapolis for two years and then moved to Circle Pines and 1966. Richard worked for Hyman Freightways in Roseville, Minnesota as a truck driver. When Richard and Elaine retired in 1995, they moved back to McGregor and made their home on Big Sandy Lake. Richard enjoyed hanging out with the family, fishing, cars, vintage snowmobiles and his precious yorkie Lily. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.

He is survived by son: Brent Farah of Circle Pines, Mn.; Daughters: Kim (Gregory) Anderson of Plymouth, Mn., Dawn Nygren of Eden Prairie; Grandchildren: Andrew (Catie) Farah, Eric Anderson, Kevin (Stephanie) Anderson, Denae (Charles) Ellson, Danielle Nygren; Great Grandchildren: Mason Farah and Makenna Farah; Brother: Joe (Eileen) Farah of McGregor and Sister: Kathy (Bill) Hendrickson of St. Peter, Mn. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Elaine in August of 2018 and 1 sister.

A memorial mass will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 11 AM from the Holy Family Catholic Church in McGregor with Fr. David Forsman officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Rice River Cemetery. Arrangements are with the McGregor Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
