Robert Wayne Lundquist

Robert “Bob” Wayne Lundquist, 87, of Sturgeon Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at his home.  He was born December 16, 1931 in Waukegan, Illinois to Hugo and Elizabeth (Niemi) Lundquist.  Bob was a veteran of The United States Navy who served during the Korean War from 1950-1954.  He was united in marriage to Wava Ford on August 26, 1968 in Minneapolis.  Bob was President and CEO of Continental Marketing.  One of Bob’s proudest accomplishments was being the 1st to begin telemarketing which sparked life insurance sales at Continental Marketing in Boise, Idaho.  Bob was a member of American Quarter Horse Association and National Association of Health Underwriters.  He also served at Supervisor for Millward Township for 10 years.  Bob enjoyed skiing, flying, bowling, sailing and spending time with his family. 

Bob is preceded in death by his parents.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Wava Lundquist of Millward Township; 3 sons, Michael (Rita) Lundquist of Chisago City, Steven (Kathy) Lundquist of St. Louis Park and Bryan (Michelle) Lundquist of Burnsville; daughter, Julie (Scott) Johnson of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Mark (Joy Fehring) Lundquist, Traci (Adam) Lipsey, Christopher Lundquist and Matthew (Stacy) Lundquist; great grandchildren, Caitlyn and Lauren Lipsey.

Services will be Saturday, August 17, at 2 PM in Beaver Church, Beaver Township, Aitkin County.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be in Beaver Cemetery, Aitkin County.  To sign the guestbook online, go to:  www.srtfuneral.com.  Arrangements are with McGregor Funeral Home and Cremation Service, McGregor.
