Albert “Bud” Elsworth Erickson, 97, of Aitkin, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020 in Aicota Health Care Center, Aitkin. He was born February 18, 1923 in Brimson to Albert and Ellen (Brostrom) Erickson. Bud was united in marriage to Lois Erlandson on July 27, 1944 in Opstead. In 1973, Bud and his brother-in-law, Herbert Erlandson built Ripple River Auto Center which is now The Tire Barn. Bud also logged, ran a sawmill and built houses during his work career. He enjoyed woodworking, building bird houses and especially spending time with his family. Bud will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Bud is preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Lois; his parents; 2 sons, Gary and Brian and an infant great grandson, Isaac; siblings, Clifford, Lloyd, Robert, Eileen, Doris and Verna.
Bud is survived by his children, Robert (Jane) Erickson of Congress, Arizona, Mark (Miriam) Erickson of Bonifay, Florida, Susan Erickson of Aitkin and daughter-in-law, Sandy Erickson of Aitkin; grandchildren, Lance (Genia), Jason (Kara), Reese (Jodeen), Clint (Misty), Jill (Brent), Tracy (Keil), Travis (Sarah) and Shelby (Jay); great grandchildren, Mandy, Mira, Ethan, Jeron, Lisa, Viktor, Xiena, Sharayah, Barrett, Lincoln, Levelyn, Solemon, Scarlett, Everen, Bexton, Megan, Ethan, Tyler, Isabella, Eli, Baylie, Brooklyne and Weslynn; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
