Alta Iris (Danielson) Peterson

Alta Peterson, 91 of Aitkin, died Friday, November 12, 2021  at Riverwood Health Care Center in Aitkin.  She was born September 22, 1930 in Lichfield  to Adolph and Caroline (McCullough) Danielson.  Alta was united in marriage to Milford Peterson April 15, 1950 in Lichfield.  They lived in Bloomington for 35 years, where she worked for the Bloomington School District as a Baker, retiring to Dam Lake in 1985.  She enjoyed baking, cooking and sewing.  She was a member of the Kimberly Community Church for many years.  She was preceded in death by her parents: Adolph and Caroline Danielson, husband Milford on December 5, 2010, son Michael, and daughter Suzanne Fitzgerald.  Alta is survived by her daughter-in-law: Sharon Peterson, brother and sister-in-law: Dale (Ramona) Danielson, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11am – Monday, November 29, 2021 at Kimberly Community Church.  Pastor Rick Perry will officiate.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in Saron Cemetery, Dam Lake.  Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Aitkin.  Go to www.srtfuneral.com to leave a message of condolence.
