Obituary
Ann M. Evans, 61 of Brainerd & formerly of Aitkin passed away August 10, 2023 at Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Hospital in Brainerd. She was born July 12, 1962 in Duluth to Noah “Shorty” and Esther Lucy (Mougin) Evans. She graduated from Aitkin High School and then earned her degree in Culinary Arts from Staples Technical College. She loved horses, motorcycles, snowmobiling and anything that would go fast. She enjoyed crocheting, needle work, knitting, cooking and made a “world famous” banana bread. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Jean and brother Ray. Ann is survived by her sisters: Mary (Al) Kerr, Patricia Jo (Junior) Reed, Sandra Kay Voigt (Marvin Kohout), brother Thomas Robert Evans, sister-in-law Betty Evans, and many other special relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be 1pm – Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Woodland Good Samaritan Village Chapel – Buffalo Hills Lane, Brainerd. Pastor Eusebia "Chappy” Rios officiating. Burial will be at Elmer Cemetery, Meadowlands at a later date. A celebration gathering will be 1pm to 4pm - Sunday, September 24, 2023 at the Aitkin Tire Shop - 429 7th Avenue N.E., Aitkin, MN. 55760.
