Arnold Christ Grendahl

Arnold “Arnie” Christ Grendahl, 78, of McGregor, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024 in Riverwood Health Care Center, Aitkin.  He was born July 7, 1946 in Minneapolis to Louis and Avis (Young) Grendahl.  Arnie was united in marriage to Diane Ketterling on May 21, 1983 in Bloomington.

Arnie is survived by his loving wife, Diane; children, Christine (Les) Smith of Moorhead, Cynthia (Troy) Schneller of McGregor,  Deanna (Shauna) Portlance of East Bethel; grandchildren: Jennifer Smith, Bradley Swedberg Jr. (Kaija), Nicholas Smith, Amber (Casey) Pittman, Amanda (Mark) Reese and Steven Smith; great grandchildren, Jordan, Layla, Emily, Sunnie, Destiny, Easton, Aurora, Aria, Odyn, Bear, Brooklynn, Avery, Riley, Mazikeen and Maija; siblings, Louis (Linda) Grendahl of Crystal,  Bruce Grendahl of Princeton,  Gail Laugerman of Pine City,  Grace (Rick) Nazier of Exeland, WI Edward (Donna) Herschberger of Brooklyn Park,  Julie (Walt) Stucki of Medford, OR and Lisa (Robin) Gerard of Kennewick, WA; sister-in-law: Isabel Ketterling of Apple Valley; brother-in-law, James (Lynn) Ketterling of Prior Lake; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Greeted in heaven by Mother, Father, Step-mother, Mother and Father-in-law, Martha and Ferdinand Ketterling, Son-in-law, Barry Wencl, Brothers-in-law, Robert Ketterling and Ty Laugerman, Sister-in-law, Vivian Grendahl, and niece Wendy Grendahl.

Services will be Thursday, September 26, at 12 PM in Zion Lutheran Church, McGrath.  Visitation will be Wednesday, September 25 from 5-7 PM in McGregor Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be at a later date in Pliny Cemetery, McGrath.  To leave a message of condolence please visit:  www.srtfuneral.com.  Arrangements are with McGregor Funeral Home and Cremation Service, McGregor.
