Beatrice Jarvi Obituary

Beatrice Jarvi, 91, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023 at Hilltop Health Care in Duluth.  She was born October 12, 1932 in Automba to Henry and Hilma (Haikola) Johnson.  She graduated from McGregor High School in 1950.  Beatrice was united in marriage to Roy Wayrynen on June 23, 1951.  They lived and farmed in Rice River Township.  Together they had 2 children: Mike and Candy, they divorced in 1979. 

On September 21, 1991 Beatrice was united in marriage to John Jarvi.  They made their home in Duluth where lived a happy, quiet life.  She loved watching birds, butterflies and visiting the local rose gardens.  She was preceded in death by two brothers: Donald and Einar Johnson and her parents: Henry and Hilma Johnson.  Beatrice is survived by her husband John; son and daughter-in-law: Mike (Darla) Wayrynen; daughter and son-in-law: Candy (Tim) Knoedler; five grandchildren: Ranae (Jason) Danielowski, Matt (Kindra) Wayrynen, Vanessa Knoedler, Patrick Knoedler and Paul Knoedler; five great-grandchildren: Reino, Briita and Emil Wayrynen, Cody and Piper Danielowski; and many other special relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

No services are planned at this time.  Beatrice will be buried in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Moose Lake, next to her parents.  Arrangements are with McGregor Funeral Home & Cremation Services in McGregor.  Go to www.srtfuneral.com to leave a message of condolence.
