Beatrice Rose Lemire

Beatrice Rose Lemire, 88 of Aitkin passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin.  She was born March 6, 1934 in Watertown to Herbert and Pauline (Gregory) Kocks.  She grew up and attended school in Chaska.  Beatrice was united in marriage to Oliver Lemire on July 3, 1954 in Victoria.  She loved being with her family, playing cards, and her two dogs Missy and RooRoo.  She was a member of Saint James Catholic Church of Aitkin.  She was preceded in death by her husband Oliver on December 11, 2003, sister Adeline Schneider, brother Donald Kocks, and her parents Herbert and Pauline Kocks.

Beatrice is survived by her 7 children: Roxanne (Randy) Walker of Aitkin,

Becky (David) Henning of New Germany,

Ron (Jean) Lemire of Osage,

Romaine (Tim) Meek of Perham,

Rodney (Julie) Lemire of Aitkin,

Rae (Tim) Reinhardt of Glen,

Roger (Bonnie) Lemire of Deerwood,

11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren,

Sister: Dolores Bloom of Hopkins,

Sister-in-law: Kathy Lemire

And many other special relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00am – Friday, February 3, 2023 at Saint James Catholic Church, Aitkin.  Father Mike Patullo will be the officiant.  Visitation will begin at 10am at the church.  Burial will be in Saint Thomas Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home of Aitkin.  Go to www.srtfuneral.com to leave a message of condolence.
