Betty Jo (Taylor) Johnson

Betty Jo Johnson, 77, of McGregor, passed away Monday, July 22, 2024 in Aicota Health Care Center, Aitkin.  She was born June 9, 1947 in Minneapolis to Olaf Ethan and Elizabeth Nina (Edwards) Taylor.  Betty was united in marriage to LeRoy Melvin Johnson on September 22, 1973 in Minneapolis.  Betty was employed at the University of Minnesota and worked in the Office of Development & Alumni Relations as well as College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) and was also a Union Steward.  Betty was a woman of many hobbies, she enjoyed baking, crafting, theatre, event organizing and volunteering for local organizations.  She was also involved in Lions, Angels of McGregor and many more.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Johnson; her parents; step-daughter, Pam Johnson and 2 grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her step children, Jeffery Johnson, Victor Johnson, Jamey Johnson, Sheree (Adam) Meier and Leanne (Bruce) Petyo; grandchildren, Amy, Chrissy, Victor Lizz, Cortlend, Jessica, Tony, Elijah, Jory, Sam, Josh and Johna; 21 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; brother, David (Becky) Taylor; other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
