Bonnie Lou (Carlbom) Leasure

Bonnie Lou Leasure, 69, of McGregor, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 in Essentia St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth.  She was born August 3, 1950 in Rush City to Fritz and Marlys (Trent) Carlbom.  Bonnie graduated from Rush City High School in 1968.  She was united in marriage to Darryl Johnson on August 12, 1968 in South Dakota.  Darryl passed away on June 10, 2003.  Bonnie was united in marriage to Lester Leasure on July 13, 2013 in McGregor.  Bonnie was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, McGregor.  She enjoyed quilting, flowers, gardening and especially spending time with her family.  Bonnie was a BIG hugger.  If ever there was an Angel on earth, Bonnie was one.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Darryl; her parents; daughter, Tonya Johnson; grandson, Tim Horbacz.

Bonnie is survived by her loving husband, Lester Leasure of McGregor; son, Troy (Darlene) Johnson of McGregor; daughters, Tina (Jammy) Hague of McGregor and Tiffany (Adam) Ziwicki of Aitkin; grandchildren, Adam (Kari) Horbacz, Andy (Rachel) Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Abigail Johnson, Nathanael Hague, Daniel Ziwicki and Jaxson Ziwicki; great grandchildren, Ava Horbacz, Nola Horbacz, Nash Horbacz, Brimley Johnson and Corbin Johnson; siblings, Jim (Debbie) Carlbom, Sharon (Jr.) White, Becky (Jim) Cherrier and Brad (Dawn) Carlbom; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be Saturday, February 29, at 1 PM in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, McGregor.  A gathering of family and friends will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  To sign the guestbook online, go to:  www.srtfuneral.com.  Arrangements are with McGregor Funeral Home and Cremation Service, McGregor.
