Bruce Harvey Blomberg

Bruce Harvey Blomberg, 50 of McGregor died Friday, October 22, 2021 at his residence in McGregor.  He was born March 23, 1971 to Harvey Duane and Judith Aileen (Thorne) Blomberg.  He graduated from Aitkin High School, Class of 1989.  Bruce was employed at Ukura’s Big Dollar in McGregor as a meat cutter.  He thought of his coworkers as family and was very proud to be a part of the McGregor Community.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, darts, softball, watching Minnesota Sports, and singing karaoke. Bruce was a “Jack of all trades” mechanic and woodworker.  He was a member of the Aitkin United Methodist Church.

Brother: Bradley (Debra) Blomberg of New York Mills

Sisters: Brenda (Mike) Dahl of Roseau,

Bethanie (Rick Meyer) Ambuehl of McGregor,

Barbara Blomberg of Aitkin

Nieces & Nephews: Jarod (Maranda) Dahl, Rachel (Jon)Zimmerman, Jon Dahl, Emily Blomberg, Sarah Gaffaney, Michaela (Michael) Monson, Casie (Brody Considine) Ambuehl;

Great-Nieces & Great Nephews: Simon Gaffaney, Gracelyn Monson, Evelyn Gaffaney, William Dahl, Sawyer Monson, Madilyn Zimmerman.

Bruce was a dressed-down, no frills kind of guy. To honor that, no dress code applies. Please come as you are.

Funeral service will be 11:00a.m. – Friday, October 29, 2021 at Aitkin United Methodist Church.  Pastor Dawn Houser will officiate.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Aitkin.  Please go to www.srtfuneral.com to leave a message of condolence.
