Chad Michael Hermans

Chad Michael Hermans, 32, of Aitkin passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at his home surrounded by family after a courageous 2 ½ year battle with a rare form of cancer.  Chad was born May 6, 1990 in St. Paul to Duane “Butch” and Susan (Hawthorne) Hermans.  Chad moved to Aitkin in 1996 at the age of 5.  He graduated from Aitkin High School in 2008.  Chad had a great love for his family, food, sports and his 20 year old cat, Patches.  He was a friend to anyone he met.  Chad had a tremendous will to live that amazed everyone.  Chad will be loved, missed and remembered by all those who knew him.

Chad is preceded in death by his father, Butch Hermans; grandmother, Laverne Price; grandfather, Rudolph Price.

Chad is survived by his mother, Susan Hermans; sister, Amy Hermans; brothers, Peter, Aaron and William “Billy” Hermans; nephew, Chase Roberts along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
