Charles Melvin Packer, Sr., 71, of Palisade, passed away Monday, September 8, 2025 at his home. He was born April 19, 1954 in Bozeman, Montana to Stewart and Alice (Crapser) Packer, Sr. Charles was a Veteran of The United States Army who served during the Vietnam War. Chuck enjoyed fishing, hunting, dirt work on his Bobcat, construction, concrete work and anything outdoors. He loved helping people and learning new things. Chuck especially enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his dog, Jenney. He will be dearly missed.
Chuck is preceded in death by his father, Stewart Packer, Sr.; daughter, Stephanie Rosett and grandson, Soren Danielson.
Chuck is survived by his closest companion - his Labrador Retriever, Jenney; wife, Sarah; mother, Alice Packer; son, Charles Packer, Jr.; siblings, Linda (Ron) Sewald, Cynthia (Sean) Johnson, Kathleen Landrus and Stewart (Stacey) Packer, Jr.; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be Saturday, September 20th at 11 AM in Hilltop Chapel, Palisade. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Military Honors will be provided by Aitkin American Legion Post #86 and Aitkin V.F.W. Post #1727. Private interment will take place at a later date.
