Charlotte Johnson

Charlotte Johnson, 83 of Aitkin died Monday, April 28, 2025 at Golden Horizons in Aitkin.  She was born June 20, 1941 in Isle the daughter of Vernon and Erma (Rea) Westerlund of Malmo.  She graduated from Aitkin High School in 1959.  Charlotte was united in marriage to Ken Johnson on July 3, 1965 at Farm Island Lake. She worked at Aitkin Iron Works for over 20 years.  In 1979 they moved to Spearfish, SD for Ken’s job.  While living in South Dakota they started Northwood Sleigh Company, operating this for over 40 years, attending arts and crafts festivals and Son’s of Norway Conventions all over the Upper Midwest.  She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Aitkin.  Charlotte is survived by her husband Ken, son Mark and other special relatives and friends who mourn her passing. 

Memorial in lieu of flowers can be made to the Community Food Shelf at First Lutheran Church.

Funeral Service will be 11:00am – Friday, May 9, 2025 at First Lutheran Church in Aitkin.
