Dale "Biidaanakwad" Greene, Jr.

Dale H. Greene Jr., Biidaanakwad, honored and proud son of Kaadack and Ponee began his journey on September 25, 2023.  Dale loved his family and his people.  He was an educator, an activist, a treaty rights expert,  an advocate for Indian Child Welfare, and a Wellness Court Consultant.  He was kind and loved helping people connect with their culture, their families and their tribes. 

Dale is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Judith Greene (Paquette), his step father Dave Murray, his sister Nancy (Sam) Greene, his daughter in law Evelyn Tiepew, and many beloved relatives. 

He is survived by his father, Dale Greene, Sr., his sister Marilyn "Rose " Murray, his wife, Rebecca McConkey-Greene, his children Christopher Boyd, Cara Martin, Buddie Greene (Ernie Kegg), Macoonz David Davis, Mary Greene, Art Greene, and step son Kirk McConkey.  Dale is also survived by and cherished his grandchildren Jonah Quiroz, Bianca Bush, Tashina Bush, Ophelia Arvella Kegg, Anthony Kegg, Misty Tiessen, Keeven Noodin Kegg, Evan Macoonz, Jasmyne Macoonz, Alex Macoonz, DeAngelo Sam, Henry Sam and Dylan Hoffman-Greene.  Great Grandchildren Harley quin carr, Jean Grey Carrs, Raven Mystique Carrs, and Elodie Mae Tiessen.    

Tribal Rite Services will be Sunday, October 1 at 10 AM in the East Lake Community Center, 20650 363rd Ln McGregor with Vincent Merrill officiating.  Dale’s wake will begin at dusk on Saturday, September 30 at the East Lake Community Center.  Burial will be in Rice Lake National Wildlife Refuge.  To sign the guestbook online, go to:  www.srtfuneral.com  Arrangements are with McGregor Funeral Home and Cremation Service, McGregor.
