Dale Eugene Halgrimson, 73 of Palisade died Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Grand Itasca Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born August 27, 1951 in Rockford, IL. the son of Christ E. and Agnes Lorraine (Handt) Halgrimson. He graduated from Aitkin High School, the class of 1970. Dale was united in marriage to Debbie Delorme and they later divorced. He had many different jobs including: hauling milk for the Palisade Creamery, building rice patties and harvesting with Wayne Harold, heavy equipment operator and construction with Ernie Darlow and with Mike Johnson Construction, and helped build Minnesota National Golf Course with Wayne Alden. Dale also farmed most of his life but had to sell when his health declined. He enjoyed fishing and made many trips up to the Seine River in Canada and hunting, especially Deer hunting. Dale loved to share his fishing and hunting stories with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Christ and Agnes Halgrimson and brother-in-law Bill. Dale is survived by his sister and brother-in-law: Maxine Miller (Kenneth Meyers) of Remer and brother and sister-in-law: Darrell (Carol) Halgrimson of Palisade; Nieces and Nephews: Christopher (Rebecca) Miller, Thomas Miller, Eric (Casie) Halgrimson, Amanda (Jason) McQueen; Great-Niece and Great-Nephew: Grace Miller and Paul Miller; Aunts and Uncle: Carol Beachem of Palisade and Harold (Barb) Halgrimson of Tucson, AZ.; and many other special relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Rustic Trail in Palisade. Visitation will begin at 10am with a service at 11am and lunch to follow.
