Daryl Frank Rezny

Daryl Frank Rezny, 72 of Tamarack & formerly of Saint Paul, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024 at Aitkin Health Services.  He was born December 15, 1951 in Saint Paul the son of Frank and Nedra (Roatch) Rezny. He grew up in Saint Paul and graduated from Murray High School.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, enlisting in 1969 and serving in the Vietnam War on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt.  He was honorably discharged on July 10, 1973 and served in the Navy Reserves until 1975.  Daryl was united in marriage to Nancy Jean (Turtle) on October 1, 1983 in Saint Paul.  He worked as a fabricator and foreman for Viking Automatic Sprinkler Co. in Saint Paul for over 20 years.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing video games, poker and Chess with his kids and cooking for his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Daryl is survived by his wife Nancy; 

2 sons: Frank and Patrick and their families; 8 grandchildren;

2 brothers: Doug and Barry and their families; and many other special relatives and friends who mourn his passing. 

A private committal service with full military honors will be 1:30pm – Wednesday, December 4, 2024 – Assembly area #6 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.  Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin.  To leave a message of condolence please go to www.srtfuneral.com
