Obituary

David Will Blakesley, 67 of Aitkin passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023at his home. He was born February 6, 1956 in Aitkin to Lester and AltaMay (Woodrow) Blakesley. He graduated from Aitkin High School in 1974 and then diesel mechanic school in Saint Cloud. He worked for Jim Cunningham at Bon-Aire Estates, Mack Truck and then was employed as a mechanic for MNDOT for almost 40 years. He enjoyed league bowling in his early years. David was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, traveling to Alaska and hunting Elk for over 30 years. This past July David was able to enjoy one last fishing trip. He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and AltaMay Blakesley and his brother Jack Blakesley.

David is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law: Judy (Dennis) Carpenter, Leslie (Eugene) Peters, and Linda Blakesley; 10 nieces and nephews, many other special relatives, friends, fishing buddies and hunting buddies who mourn his passing.
