David Ralph Proue

David R. Proue, age 77, passed away peacefully on May 8th, 2022 at 12:45pm at his home in McGregor, MN surrounded by his family and friends. He was born October 2, 1944 in Minneapolis to Ralph and Norma (Kjenstad) Proue.  David served in the Navy as an air traffic controller during the Vietnam War from 1968-1971 and worked for Graco Inc for over 40 years until he retired in 2004. David was a member of Osseo American Legion Post #172 and The Living Word Church of Brooklyn Park.  David’s love of people and joking nature will be missed dearly by many.  David enjoyed hunting, reloading ammunition, bowling, fishing, boating, tractors, Harleys, going to church and watching the Minnesota Twins.  

David is preceded in death by his parents and son, Russell. 

David is survived by his wife, Peggy; son, Ryan; daughter, Michelle; brother, Tim (Tommi) Proue; grandchildren, Leimomi and Ryker; nephews Michael, Matthew, and Calvin; nieces Kayla, Clarissa, Katie, and Bianca.  A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held Thursday, May 12th, 2022 at 11:30 A.M. in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
