Don Edward Schroeder, Sr.

Don Edward Schroeder, Sr. 81 of McGregor died Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Carefree Living in McGregor.  He was born June 6, 1943 in Minneapolis the son of Ralph and Margaret (Carr) Schroeder.  He graduated from Toivola-Meadowlands High School in Meadowlands in 1961.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired from the Army Corps of Engineers where he worked at the Locks and Dams in Minneapolis.  He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marilyn Traynor and brothers: Ray, Butch (Ralph) and Todd Schroeder. 

Don is survived by his children: Dawn Andren (Randy Dale), Don Schroeder, Jr., Deanne (Bob) Johnson, Denise Larue (Angie Granquist), Adam (Shelly) Schroeder and Brian Schroeder; Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Nancy (Mike) Murphy; Many other special relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
