Dwight Sherman

Dwight “Ike” Sherman 69 of Palisade died Friday, August 15, 2025 at Centra Care-Saint Cloud Hospital in Saint Cloud.  He was born August 26, 1955 in Aitkin the son of Vinton Russell and Margaret Ann (Johnson) Sherman.  He grew up in Palisade and graduated from Aitkin High School in 1973.  He worked as a minor for U.S. Steel-Mintac.  Dwight was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Palisade.  He had a love for the outdoors, hunting, fishing and farming.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Dwight is survived by his children: Erika Wagner of Aitkin, Kelly (Jason)Hines of Brainerd, Keith (Amanda) Sherman of Ramsey; grandchildren: Devin Rono, Darek Rono, Ian Rono, Sabrian Wagner, Logan Hines, Chase Hines, Brianna Sherman, Lana Sherman, Kyle Sherman; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers: Dale Sherman of Palisade, Jed (Patti) Sherman of Aitkin; Jason (Ann) Sherman of Palisade, Grant (Lynn) Sherman of Palisade; And many other special relatives and friends who mourn his passing

Funeral Service will be 11am – Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Palisade.  Pastor Steven Teff will be the officiant.  Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5pm to 7pm Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin and will continue 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  To leave a message of condolence please go to www.srtfuneral.com
