FLORENCE ROSEMARY ROSS OLSON

Florence Rosemary Ross Olson, 96, of Aitkin, passed away, Tuesday, March 31, 2020 in Golden Horizons Assisted Living, Aitkin. She was born November 2, 1923 in Saskatchewan, Canada to Alfred and Charlotte Perry. Florence graduated from South High School in Minneapolis in 1941. She worked for Sears Roebuck Company for 25 years until retiring to Aitkin in 1976. Florence and her husband Holger restored antique furniture for 30 years and they loved to travel. They traveled most of the United States including Alaska. They also traveled to Japan and Scandinavia and wintered in Arizona. They moved together to Golden Horizons in 2011. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Aitkin. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Florence is preceded in death by husbands, LeRoy Ross on April 19, 1966 and Holger Olson on October 1, 2011; daughter, Teri Johnston; sisters, Terri Bruder and Roberta Wiggins; brother, Robert Perry.

Florence is survived by daughter, Karen (Frank) Ruzicka of Osseo; son, Lee (Janet) Ross of Las Vegas, Nevada; 6 grandchildren, Jon (Mihoko) Cybyske, Lori (Rob) Vorderbruggen, Amy Cybyske, Jeremiah (Helen) Johnston, Bridgett (Mark) Blodgett and Kristin (James) Pittman; 7 great grandchildren, Jay Cybyske Azumi, Katie Vorderbruggen, Alexa Vorderbruggen, Steven Blodgett, Timothy Blodgett, Andrew Blodgett and DeClan Pittman; brothers, Brad (Donna) Perry and Dennis Perry; sister, Pat (Peter) Pustorino; brother-in-law, Jim Wiggins; cousin, Bill Konze; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to thank all of the excellent hard working staff at Golden Horizons for the many years of care provided. You truly are angels on earth. Memorials are preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 36696 320th St, Aitkin, MN 56431. A Celebration of Life for Florence will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery, Little Falls.
