Frances “Fran” May Splittstoser, 65, of Aitkin, passed away Friday, June 19, 2020 in Essentia St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth. She was born September 9, 1954 in St. Paul to Thomas and Connie (Matzski) Danielzuk. Fran was united in marriage to Mark Splittstoser on April 3, 1976 in Weber. She was a School Bus Driver for North Branch ISD #138 for 18 years. Fran was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Aitkin. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and was a culinary genius. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Fran had a special gift of nursing animals back to health. She would do anything for anybody. Fran was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Fran is preceded in death by her parents; grandchild, Joseph Splittstoser; sister, Debbie DeChaine.
Fran is survived by her loving husband, Mark Splittstoser; children, Michelle (John) Brooks, Christine Wilson, Michael Splittstoser and Alesha (Benjamin) Sheehan; grandchildren, Haley Sheehansplittstoser, Alexandra Perlowski, Madeline Brooks, Travis Wiener, Mercedes Wilson, James Splittstoser and Lily Hall; siblings, David Danielzuk, Steven (Ruth) Danielzuk, Patricia (Bob) Murlowski, and Mary Beth (Frank) O’Gorman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be Friday, June 26 at 1 PM in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Aitkin with Pastor David Becker officiating.
