George Robert Panetti, 89 of Aitkin passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024 at his home. He was born September 16, 1934 in Beaver Dam, WI. to Phillip and Ruth (Roethke) Panetti. He grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from Juneau High School in Juneau, WI. George was united in marriage to Cynthia Mildred Kathryn White June 25, 1955 at Salem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. He worked as a Machinist for the Soo Line Rail Road and eventually became a Journey-Man. He was a Draftsman for Honeywell and 3-M and was a drafting instructor at Willmar Vo-Tech for many years He also worked for Southern Minnesota Sugar Co. for 5 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed working with stained glass, making windows and lamps.
He could not read sheet music but could play the piano and harmonica by ear.
George was caring and giving and always loved to teach and instruct.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
George is survived by his wife Cynthia of Aitkin; 3 children: David Panetti of Winsted, Christine Anfinson of Aitkin and Thomas Panetti of Waterville;
5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many other special relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
