Gerald William Rudelitsch

Gerald William Rudelitsch, 82, of Aitkin, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at his home.  He was born July 7, 1942 in Lehighton, Pennsylvania to William and Mary (Steigerwalt) Rudelitsch.  Gerald attended college at Wake Forest on a football scholarship and later played in the NFL.  He was a veteran of The United States Army who served during the Vietnam War.  Gerald was united in marriage to Lidja Jenson on November 13, 1971 in Pennsylvania.  Gerald was well known in the Aitkin area for his gospel country music which he played at many churches including Immanuel Lutheran Church of Iron Hub, where he was a member.  Gerald loved caring for his cattle and Morgan horses and was a Rancher at heart.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents and his son, William “Billy”.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Lidja; daughter, Donna; grandchildren, Jennifer Alandy and Justin Sommerfeld; great grandchildren, Ella Alandy and Bradley Alandy; sister, Dolores Reenock; other relatives and friends.
