Gloria Norman Obituary

Gloria Joan Norman, 91, of Aitkin, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 in Aicota Health Care Center, Aitkin. She was born August 16, 1928 in Duluth to Glenn and Evelyn (Plaisted) Gault. Gloria graduated from Morgan Park High School in Duluth. Gloria was united in marriage to Donald H. Norman on November 3, 1950 in Duluth and was privileged to be a Pastor’s wife for 69 years. Gloria worked in the library at Rippleside Elementary School, Aitkin and was a member of Malmo Evangelical Free Church, Malmo. Gloria was very faithful in card ministry (sending thank you cards, get well cards, birthday cards, etc.). She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gloria will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lorraine Flokstra; son-in-law, Gary Erickson; brother-in-law, John Flokstra.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband, Pastor Donald “Don” Norman of Aitkin; 2 daughters, Sandra Erickson of Aitkin and Elana (Dave) Samuelson of Malmo; 4 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
