Gloria Mae Peterson

Gloria Mae Peterson 93 of McGregor, died Friday, January 2, 2026 at Care Free Living in McGregor.  She was born August 21, 1932 in Ortonville, MN. the daughter of Adlow and Rosetta (Bauman) Parrow.  Gloria was united in marriage to Howard Wayne Peterson, the couple homesteaded near Fairbanks, AK.  She worked as the warehouse supervisor for JC Penny Co.  After retiring in 1974, they enjoyed traveling to many different states until buying a home north of Isle on Mille Lacs Lake.  In July of 2001 the couple moved to Mankato. After Howard passed away, Gloria moved to McGregor and in 2025 she moved to Care Free Living.  Gloria enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, crafts, puzzles, knitting, crocheting, hunting, fishing, playing cards and bingo.  She was preceded in death by her parents Adolph and Rosetta Parrow, husband Howard and son Wesley A. Athey.  Gloria is survived by 2 children: Sharon (Larry) Powley of Winter Park, FL. and Steven (Vicki) Peterson of McGregor; Grandchildren: Lea Hona, Brianne, Wesley, Jr., Jennifer, Gena(Jeremy), Kevin (Jennifer), Kathryn(Brandon) and Kenneth; many great-grandchildren; Other special relatives and friends.
