Gust Earl Lake

Gust Earl Lake, 90, of Aitkin, formerly of McGregor, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at his home.  He was born January 30, 1936 in Lakeview Township to Gust and Mayme (Welli) Lake.  Gust is a United States Army Veteran who served from 1961 – 1963.  Gust was united in marriage to Patricia Petrick on June 4, 1965 in McGregor.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling.

Gust is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lorraine Mcloud; brothers, Howard and Lawrence Lake.

Gust is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Lake of Aitkin; 2 sons, Timothy Lake of Stillwater and Jeffery Lake of Aitkin; grandchildren, Alex (Ailie Bailey) Lake; Nathaniel Lake, Annastazia (Jose Avilez) Lake and Eizabella (Patrick) Hill; great grandchildren, Trinity Lake, Jack Vierkandt, Hamilton Vierkandt, Charlotte Hill and Josephine Hill; siblings, Doris Cheney, Patti Lilya, Eddie Lake and Gene (Debbie) Lake; sisters-in-law, DeeAnn Lake and Elaine Lake; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services with Military Honors will be Saturday, October 17th, 2026 at 2:00 PM in Lakeside Cemetery, S. Finn Rd.
