Helen Marie Schroeder

Helen Marie Schroeder, 86 of Aitkin died Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Riverwood Health Care Center in Aitkin.  She was born April 9, 1939 in Morris, MN. the daughter of Joseph and Clara (Satzer) Nagl.  She grew up on a farm in Morris and graduated from Morris High School in 1957.  Helen Marie (Nagl) was united in marriage to James Robert Schroeder July 16, 1959 in England.  They lived in the Twin Cities where Helen did factory work for a rubber parts company.  After retirement in 2001 they moved to their home on Clear Lake and spent winters in Texas.  She enjoyed gardening, her flowers and watching the birds.  She was preceded in death by her husband James on April 8, 2019, three sisters: Theresa Brosh, Dorothy Schuelke, Delores Schuetze,

and her parents.

Helen is survived by her 3 sons and daughters-in-law: Gary (Becky) Schroeder, Steve (Tammy) Schroeder, Mark (Lorilea Spaulding) Schroeder;

6 grandchildren: James, Melissa, Meagan, Jennifer, Steven, Jr., Stephanie;

13 great-grandchildren;

4 siblings: George Nagl, Margaret Zahl, Patty Slack, Donald (Sue) Nagle;

Many other special relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

Funeral service will be 11am – Friday, September 26, 2025 at Saint James Catholic Church in Aitkin.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in Saint Thomas Cemetery, Aitkin  Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Aitkin.
