Jack LeRoy Hallbeck, 89, of Aitkin, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024 in Cuyuna Regional Medical Center, Crosby. Jack was born July 11, 1934 in Aitkin. He was united in marriage to Elaine Hurd on June 6, 1970 in Aitkin. Jack was very active outdoors and lived a full life. He enjoyed duck/goose hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, camping, and spending time around the bonfire. He also enjoyed traveling, eating out, going for walks with the dog, and especially spending time with his family and friends. He was also very active with the family farm. His extensive life and work experiences made him a “Jack of all trades.”
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Eleanor and Theodore Hallbeck; his grandparents; his first wife, Elizabeth (Hiller) Pemberton; siblings, Irene Schafer, Teddy, Jerry, Dougy and Franklyn Hallbeck; aunts, Rosella and Rosabell Manthey.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Hallbeck; children, Teresa (Andy) DuVall, Brian (Cindy) Pemberton, Jeffrey Hallbeck, Kathleen Hallbeck; grandchildren, Stephanie Hallbeck, Alec Pemberton and Preston Pemberton; great grandchildren, Viktoria Hallbeck and Aleksandr Hallbeck; sister, Maxine Hallbeck.
Services will be Thursday, February 29, at 11 AM in Bethesda Lutheran Church, 35941 350th Ave, Aitkin with Pastors Lorelie Robinson and Michelle Ruen officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Nordland Township at a later date. To sign the guestbook, go to: www.srtfuneral.com.
