James Michael Bottineau

 

James Michael Bottineau, 70 of Hill City passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022 at his residence.  He was born May 27, 1951 in Crosby. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.  James was united in marriage to Elizabeth (Isaacson) Maki on December 2, 1994 in Duluth.  He worked as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the IUOE local #49. 

James is survived by his wife Elizabeth;

Mother: Agnes Blaszak;

Step sons: Ken Maki (Lisa) and Tim Maki;

Grandchildren: Alicia, Eero, and Anja;

Brother: Florian Blaszak;

Sisters: Char Svoboda (Bill), Janet Hatfield (Tim), Louise Hilton (Ed), Sue Kalinin, Connie Sandvik (Bruce), and Rosemary Amundson;

and many Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Memorial service will be 2pm – Friday, May 6, 2022 at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment with full military honors will be 10am – Monday May 9 at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery–Duluth in Saginaw, MN.  To leave a message of condolence please go to www.srtfuneral.com
