James C. Hannah, 77 of Aitkin passed away at Care Free Living in Brainerd. He was born August 12, 1946 in Aitkin to James and Charlotte (Cheney) Hannah. He graduated from Aitkin High School. He worked at Honeywell and owned Hannah’s Country Store. James was a proud member of the NRA and a NASCAR fan. He enjoyed watching Westerns, Duck Dynasty, and Sponge Bob. He collected coins, replica cars and many other interesting things. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lawrence and sister-in-law Emilie Lee.
James is survived by his children: Tabbetha “Tabby” Merrell of Brainerd, Steven (Patricia) Hannah of Emily, Cheryl Hannah (David Johnson ) of Aitkin and Rebecca Weimer of Aitkin; 5 grandchildren: Rachel, Steven, Brittany, Channy and Jake; 2 great-grandchildren: Dayle and Arya; 3 siblings: David (Barbara) Hannah, Joyce (Larry) Cuyler and Jerry Lee; “Dad Hannah’s Bonus Children:” Heather, Monica, Craig, Tracey, Chad, John, Angie, Kristi, Wendy, Wayne, Cameron and many more special relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be 1:00pm - Friday, March 22, 2024 at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin. Visitation will be 5 to 7pm – Thursday March 21 at the funeral home and will continue 1 hour prior to the service. To leave a message of condolence go to www.srtfuneral.com
