James Lawrence Quale

James Lawrence Quale, 83, of Aitkin, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024 in Aicota Health Care Center, Aitkin with his family by his side.  He was born October 19, 1941 in Isle to Lawrence and Loretta (Sherwood) Quale.  James was a veteran of The United States Air Force who served  from 1959-1963, stationed in Japan.  James was united in marriage to Nancy Crabtree on November 1, 1969 in St. Anthony.  James was a Rural Postal Carrier for the USPS for many years.  Jim was a member of Aitkin American Legion Post #86.

James enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and especially spending time with his family.

James is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; parents; brothers, Dennis and Kenneth.

James is survived by 2 sons, Michael (Jolene) Quale and Randy (Ingrid Anderson) Quale; granddaughter, Lauren; great grandsons, Theo and Gryphon; sister, Lori Blomquist; brother, Russ Quale; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Walker, Donna (Al) Sorenson, Jill Quale, Laurel Bell, Carol Dotzler and Kathy Morgan; brother-in-law, Don Meyer; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be Saturday, November 2 at 11 AM in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Aitkin with Pastor David Becker officiating.  Visitation will be Friday, November 1 from 5-7 PM with a Prayer Service at 6:30 PM in Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Military Honors will be provided by Aitkin American Legion Post #86 and Aitkin V.F.W.
