James "Jim" Willis Rian

James “Jim” Willis Rian, 62, of McGregor passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026 at his home.  Jim was born December 24, 1963 in Aitkin to Arthur and Thelma (Brosh) Rian, Jr.  He attended school in McGregor and worked at Butler Spraying for a number of years and also plowed snow in the winter.  Jim also worked various other jobs through the years.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents.

Jim is survived by daughters, Suzanne Rian and Sandra Penman of McGregor and son, James “Jay” Rian of Florida; grandchildren, Logan Maki, Ethan, Laine and Landen Rian, Michael, Sophia and Noah Penman, Jaelynn Vodicka, Gage, Kolton and Kyle Rian; great granddaughter, Oaklee Rian; brother, Joe Rian of McGregor; sisters, Jean (Kevin) Turnock and Julie Nistler of McGregor along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 9th, 2026 from 12-3 PM in the McGregor Community Center, McGregor.  Arrangements are with McGregor Funeral Home and Cremation Service, McGregor.
