Jane Eldora (Wright) Hoopman

Jane Eldora Hoopman age 81, of Aitkin, MN passed away April 8th, 2026 at Aicota Nursing Home.  Jane Eldora was born to George Wright and Alice Eleanor(Davidson) Seely, 20 minutes before her twin sister Judy Elnora in Wadena MN. Jane graduated high school in 1962 from. Deer River High School. Jane married Marvin John Hoopman in 1968 later divorcing after having 4 children ; Sheila, Misty, Jason, Dawn. 

   Jane was always very generous even when she didn’t have much to give, always giving more then she received, 

   Some of her favorite past times was playing games on her iPad with daughter Dawn, grandchildren Teala and Shaine and great grand kids. playing cards, Dice and bird watching every Sunday with daughter Sheila and Gaylen, Visiting, doing puzzles on iPad and Yahtzee with daughter Misty when she was in MN oh and can’t forget those tv game shows every day!

   Jane enjoyed all types of games and live music shows with many family members such as Judy, Randy, Wanetta, Mary, Tammy, and Corey; she also participated in weekly bingo and live music in her nursing home. 

  Jane loved spending time with family, weather, it be visiting or attending gatherings, horse events with grand and great grandchildren.   

   In her final days Jane loved visits from her sisters Judy, Wanetta, Sue, Viola, and Viola grandkids, nieces Tammy and family, Coleen, and nephew Corey. 

   Jane was survived by children; Sheila Hoopman(Gaylen), Misty Scherr(Otto), Dawn Pierce(Clinton), grand children: Jassen Scherr, Domanic(Paige) Pierce, Johnathan(Chelsea) Scherr, Dulton(mikala) Pierce, Aaron(Victoria) Scherr, Courtney Hoopman, Ryan(Heather) Pierce, Trenton Hoopman, Teala(Shaine) Pierce, Chris Hoopman, ; Great grandchildren: Arya, Linkin, Brooklyn, Emma, Lane, Braxton Pierce, and Braelin Pierce-Magnuson(arriving in May); siblings: Waneta Hoopman, Bruce(viola) Seeley, Earlyn(Cathy) Seely.  

   Jane was preceded in death by: her son Jason Hoopman, her mom and dad, and several of her sibling. 

 Services will be Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 11 AM in Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home, Aitkin with Pastor Dallas Smith officiating.  Jane will be missed by all those who knew her and got the opportunity to know her.
