John H. Peters

John “Harry” “Jack” Peters, of Aitkin, passed away Monday, August 12, 2024 of lung cancer, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 88.  John grew up in N.E. Minneapolis and was united in marriage to Patricia Bretschneider on June 2, 1956 in Minneapolis.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing with his sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  John was an extremely generous person, always giving before receiving.

John is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rose; brother, Sonny.

John is survived by his loving wife, Patricia “Patti” Peters; children, Steve (Cheryl) Peters, Scott (Sandy) Peters, Shari (Jim) Kirkeide and Shanon (John) Schmidt; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
