John "Jack" V. Lindberg

John “Jack” V. Lindberg, 85 of McGregor, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Essentia Health – Saint Mary’s Hospital in Duluth.  He was born January 12, 1939 in Superior, Wisconsin the son of Ellsworth Verner and June Dorothy (Armitage) Lindberg.  He graduated high school at Duluth East and then attended North Dakota State University.  He earned degrees in: Pharmacy, B.A. in Business, Minor in Psychology, Major in Chemistry Science and Math and was a substitute teacher at U.M.D.  While working at Peoples Drug in Superior, WI. John met the love of his life Ann.  John Verner Lindberg and Ann Elaine Otterson were united in marriage October 28, 1979 in Blackberry, Minnesota.  They were inseparable, working side by side for over 23 years owning and operating Lindberg Pharmacy in McGregor.  They enjoyed time with family and together at home in the garden.  They shared a love of God and were members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Aitkin.  He was preceded in death by his parents Ellsworth and June, wife Ann, daughter Laura LePage, son Bill LaFlamme, grandson Robert “Robbie” LaFlamme and sister Joni. 

John is survived by: Steve & Jenny LaFlamme of McGregor; Linda & Mike Lundgren of Circle Pines; Robert & Heidi LaFlamme of Superior; Debbie Hagen of McGregor; Al LePage of Minneapolis; Scott Watkins of McGregor and Erin Bruneau of Mora; Tina & David Jodell of Aitkin; Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 2 nieces and nephew, Many other special relatives and friends.

Services will be 1pm – Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Rabbit Lake Cemetery, Aitkin.  Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services in Aitkin.  Go to srtfuneral.com to leave a message of condolence.
