Jon Berglund Charlsen

Jon Berglund Charlsen, 90, McGregor, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Aitkin Health Services.  He was born on October 2, 1935 in Stillwater the son of Monty and Eva (Berglund) Charlsen.  He graduated from Stillwater High School in 1953 and the University of Minnesota in 1957.  He married Daina Minkevics on March 27, 1958.  They had two sons.  In November of 1977 Daina died of cancer.   On January 20, 1979 in Saint Paul, Jon Married Terri (Heft) Gott.  They both have been Jehovah’s Witnesses for many years.  Jon was in sales and marketing his whole working life.  He enjoyed skiing, golfing, fishing, watching the birds, sun bathing and dogs of all kinds.   He was preceded in death by his first wife, Daina, son Jeffrey and his parents.  Jon is survived by his wife Terri (Heft) Charlsen of McGregor; son Jon Mark Charlsen and Elizabeth Wichelmann of Oakdale; step-son Michael Gott of Aitkin; step-daughter Debbie Youngs of Elkhart, Indiana; grandchildren: Christopher Gott, Katelyn Wipson, Skylar Youngs and great grandson Logan Wipson and many other special friends and relatives. 

Services will be 12:30pm – Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 21126  381st Lane, McGregor (3miles south of McGregor off of Hwy65).  Lunch to follow the service.
